- Straightforward — more rooms, more time.
- Condition at move-out
- The largest variable. A well-kept unit and a neglected one differ by hours.
- Appliance interiors
- Ovens and refrigerators are commonly required and commonly time-consuming.
- Cabinet and drawer interiors
- Almost always inspected in a rental.
- Deadline
- Same-day or next-day turnarounds constrain scheduling.
- Whether the property is empty
- Cleaning around remaining belongings means the job isn't finished — and often has to be repeated.
