How we define a clean

Not a marketing promise — the actual method, and what we hold ourselves to.

“Clean” is a subjective word, which is exactly why it causes so many disagreements. These are the principles we work to, written down so you can hold us to them.

Scope before work
Every job starts with a written scope. What's cleaned, what isn't, and anything you want prioritised. Nearly every complaint about a cleaning company traces back to this step being skipped.
Top-down, floors last
Dust falls. Cleaning floors before surfaces means cleaning them twice, and it's the clearest sign of someone working without a method.
The standard doesn't drift
Recurring cleaning is only worth paying for if visit forty matches visit one. That means working to a defined scope rather than to whatever the day allows.
Surfaces get the treatment they need
Natural stone, unsealed wood, older tile and specialty finishes each need a different approach. Aggressive cleaning that damages a surface isn't a good clean.
Say what we didn't do
If something couldn't be reached, needed a product we didn't have, or fell outside scope, we say so rather than leaving you to find it.

In practice

What that looks like on the day

  • Scope confirmed before arrival, not negotiated at the door
  • Work sequenced top-down so nothing is done twice
  • Surfaces treated according to material, not habit
  • Anything out of scope reported rather than hidden
